Lisa Sarmonpal

Senior Client Partner

Q: Tell us what it is you really do here.

A: I help people. I help my clients achieve their goals and I help our internal team stay organized. Basically, I keep our projects on time and on target. Most days you’ll find me corresponding with clients, working with the internal team to perfect a concept, and searching for new ways to keep projects organized and on track.

Q: What made you want to be a Client Partner?

A: In college I took advertising courses that inspired me. I found myself ogling over glossy magazine ads and was fascinated by The Tipping Point (I know pretty geeky, right?). After interning with a few agencies on the account service side I was hooked. I loved the fast-paced environment and creative energy.

Being a Client Partner at PMG allows me to do the things I do best and love: keep organized, think strategically, juggle multiple tasks, motivate team members… and be creative!

Q: What things have you done in the past that prepared you for this job?

A: I think I’ve just honed my skills through sheer experience. I’ve been working at agencies for 8+ years. That’s a lot of time to make important mistakes, and also to score some wins! Each position has given me a new skill or piece of knowledge that’s prepared me for where I am today, and where I’ll be tomorrow.

Q: Word on the street is you're a fan of Star Trek. Is this true? Care to elaborate? :)

A: Yes... I admit, I'm a Trekkie. I’m mostly a fan of TNG (The Next Generation) but I love the movies too. If I could be an alien on Star Trek I would be either a Betazoid (because it would be cool to be able to read minds), or a Trill (because you live forever as a worm and get new host bodies), or a Vulcan (love the whole logic over emotion thing... pretty bad ass).

Q: You've become famous for expressing wild creativity with Halloween costume ideas. What was your favorite costume?

A: Halloween is my favorite holiday and I love dreaming up new costumes each year. My favorite costume was the year that Joe and I were the West Nile Virus. I was a mosquito and Joe was a dead bird. A proboscis is very unwieldy when you are trying to elegantly sip a cocktail. Not sure if I would do that again!
